Step 2 Presentation
1. Teach: firecracker, fireworks, red packets, a lion dance
PPT show four pictures
T: First, let’s play a guessing game.
   Please listen carefully and guess which picture I am talking?
a. They’re red. They make loud noises. They make a lot of smoke too. We Chinese use them to celebrate important days.
b. They make noise too. We see beautiful and colourful lights when we light them. People use them to celebrate important days too.
c. They’re small red envelops. People put money in them and give them to children, old people and new couples as a gift.
d. It’s a kind of dance. The dancers wear lion costumes and move like lions.

5. Listen to the tape and do the exercise: Look and order on P80.
6. Read the story by themselves then complete the notes on P80.(边核对答案边板书)
